Flat 'N Fast 7
Flat 'N Fast 7 takes place on Saturday 19th September 2026 at West Lothian Cycle Circuit, Xcite Linlithgow, McGinley Way, Linlithgow, EH49 6SQ. The event comprises multiple looped races on a measured course.
The race format is lapped. One lap is 960 metres. The 5 km races are five laps plus the finishing straight. The 3 km races are three laps plus a slightly shorter finishing straight. The course has been officially measured by the Association of UK Course Measurers and is the only 5 km race in Scotland with AIMS certification.
Distances and age groups:
- Seven 5 km races for u16 athletes and older.
- Two 3 km races for u14 and u12 athletes.
Junior entries cover under 12 and under 14 athletes. Under 12 athletes must be at least nine years old on race day. Age groups for the 5 km follow the listed birth year bands for U16, U18, U20 and Senior categories. Entry fees are stated per category: junior entries cost £8 for SA or equivalent members and £11 for non members; 5 km entries cost £16 for SA or equivalent members and £19 for non members. Race transfers and refunds are not available.
Declarations are handled in the vendor village. Athletes receive allocated declaration times and will only receive a bib during their allocated period; declarations close ten minutes before each race. Spectating is free. Animals are not permitted inside the gated cycle circuit. The sports centre has free parking but it can be very busy at weekends; Linlithgow train station is about 1.5 miles from the venue.
