Event Details
The Flapjack 5K is a timed running race taking place at Torbay Velopark in Paignton, Devon. The event is new for 2026.
The Course
The course is an officially measured 5K road race (UKA course code 26/025). It is described as fast, flat, and traffic-free, run entirely on smooth tarmac. Participants start with two laps of the Torbay Velopark, then follow an out-and-back route on a newly laid tarmac path to the finish line.
Participant Information
The minimum age to participate is 11 years on the day of the race. The event features chip timing with instant results. A cast metal finisher's medal is given to all participants, and flapjacks are provided for all finishers. Personalized race numbers are available for entries received two weeks before the race.
Venue and Facilities
The event takes place at Torbay Velopark on Penwill Way in Paignton. Paid parking is available at the adjacent Leisure Centre car park, with a special day rate of £5.30 available for participants. Toilets and changing rooms are available on-site, and professional first aid is provided.
Awards
In addition to finisher medals, podium medals are awarded for the top three overall finishers and the top three in various veteran age categories (Vet 40 and Vet 50 for men and women). A one-prize-per-person policy is in effect. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
