Flag Day 5K : Newburyport, MA
The Flag Day 5K is the 15th annual road race held at Cashman Park on Sally Snyder Way in Newburyport, Massachusetts on June 13, 2026. The event is a USATF certified 5K offered as an in-person walk or run and as a virtual 5K option. Virtual participants may track their walk or run during the window of June 10 to June 12 and submit results to a virtual leaderboard; race shirts and finishers medals for virtual entries are shipped after the race weekend.
Registration for in-person participants includes a commemorative finishers medal, an official event t-shirt, and a post-race beer for entrants aged 21 and over. Discounted or alternate registration categories are provided for veterans and active duty service members; active duty registration is offered at no cost.
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at Cashman Park and on race day. The event schedule also includes a kids fun run, a speaking program, and a post-race party.
The event supports a soldiers assistance fund that provides financial assistance to Massachusetts service members and their families who have sustained serious, career-ending, or life-altering injuries while on active duty.
