Flag Day 5K Newburyport
The Flag Day 5K is scheduled for June 13, 2026, at Cashman Park on Sally Snyder Way in Newburyport, Massachusetts. This is the 15th annual running of the event, presented as a 5K walk or run and certified as a USATF 5K course. The event includes a kids fun run, a speaking program, and a post race party.
The event supports the 1st Lt Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund. The fund provides financial assistance for Massachusetts soldiers and their families who have incurred serious, career ending, or life altering injuries while on active duty.
Registration categories include in person 5K walk or run, a veteran category, an active duty category with a waived fee for active duty participants, and a virtual 5K option. Virtual participants may track their walk or run between June 10 and June 12 and receive an event t shirt and finishers medal that will be shipped after the race weekend. Registrations include a commemorative race medal and an official event t shirt. Post race beer is available for participants aged 21 and over.
