Event Overview
The Five Alarm 5K & Chili Cook-Off is an untimed fun run organized by the Colorado Brewery Running Series. This event takes place in Denver and features a course that starts and ends at the Bierstadt Lagerhaus. Participants navigate the local neighborhood and surrounding area at their own pace.

The route is an open course, meaning roads remain open to public traffic. Runners and walkers are responsible for following all traffic laws. The path is marked with signs, chalk arrows, and course volunteers to assist with navigation.
Chili Cook-Off and Festivities
Following the run, the event hosts a Chili Cook-Off with up to 30 competitors. Participants who register for the 5K receive tasters of the various chili entries, which include categories such as red, green, and veggie chili. The gathering also features live music, food trucks, and local vendors.
Guidelines and Participation
This event is open to participants of various experience levels, as well as strollers and dogs. Children under 12 may join the run for free. Participants must present a valid ID to receive a craft beverage at the finish line, though underage runners may receive a non-alcoholic alternative. A portion of the proceeds from the registration supports the Retired Firefighters Association of Denver. The event takes place rain or shine, and no bag check is available on-site.
