Fitzwilliam to Troy Depot Day Cheshire Rail Trail Fun Run
This event is a five mile fun run along the Cheshire Rail Trail, starting at the original Fitzwilliam Railroad Depot at 6 Church Street in Fitzwilliam, NH and finishing at the restored Troy Depot on Depot Street in Troy, NH. The distance is 5 miles along a maintained section of the trail.
The Cheshire Rail Trail runs from Walpole through Fitzwilliam and is approximately 43 miles in total. Terrain on the trail varies and can include tall grass, rocky or sandy stretches, paved sections, and gravel. The Depot Day Fun Run follows a well maintained five mile path between Fitzwilliam and Troy.
The day includes food and festivities at the Troy Depot, a short children's loop at the Troy Depot, and transportation back to the Fitzwilliam Depot available on request. The event is a fundraiser for the Fitzwilliam and Troy Historical Societies. Registration for the adult run carried a fee of $20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
