About the race
Fitzroy Frogs Triathlon Club stages a multi-format event at Tannum Sands combining club triathlons with Capricornia schools selection races. The event offers enticer and sprint options across triathlon, duathlon and aquathlon formats and is open to adults and eligible school athletes subject to age limits.
Distances include:
- Aquathlon: 200 m swim and 1 km run; longer distance athletes may repeat the course.
- Enticer: 350 m swim (or 2.5 km run), 9 km ride, 2.5 km run.
- Sprint: two laps of the 350 m swim course with a beach run between laps (or 2.5 km run), 20 km ride, 5 km run.
The aquathlon takes place on the beach after the triathlon swim. Course routing differs between enticer and sprint bike laps; enticer completes one lap, sprint performs two laps with a diversion on the second lap before returning to the main lap.
Transition access and procedures will be strictly controlled; participants will not be able to access transition immediately after finishing until it is officially reopened. Late entries are not accepted and registrations close at midnight the Friday before the event with no exceptions.
Capricornia schools selection entries require prior nomination for selection trials and completion of additional paperwork after the race; team selection is managed by Capricornia School Sports. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
