FitCrest 5K
The FitCrest 5K is the fifth annual community run organized by the Pinecrest Parks and Recreation Department. The event takes place at Evelyn Greer Park on Saturday, January 9, 2027, and is presented as a family event open to a wide range of participants, including runners, walkers, joggers, strollers, wheelchairs, and four-legged companions.
The 5K run is a timed event and all race bibs include a timing chip. Pre-registered 5K participants are eligible to receive an event t-shirt while supplies last. FitCrest is described as a community initiative that encourages individuals to pursue personal health and wellness goals by taking small steps each day.
The description focuses on community participation and accessible formats of movement rather than competition alone. The event setting at Evelyn Greer Park and the timed nature of the 5K provide both an organized race structure and space for family oriented activity.
