Event Overview
The Fishkill Freedom Run 5K Festival & 1 Mi Fun Run is a community athletic event held in Fishkill, New York. This event celebrates 250 years of independence through a combination of running and festival activities. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5 km (Timed Color Run)
- 1 mile (Fun Run/Walk)
The 5 km event features a patriotic color burst at the starting line. All participants receive a finisher award, while top finishers in various age groups are eligible for medals. Registration includes a race T-shirt and access to several post-race amenities.
Festival Activities
The event takes place at 106 Jackson Street and features a broad range of entertainment and services. Participants can attend the Hudson Valley Craft Fair, which is part of the festival grounds. On-site activities include yoga sessions provided by Rock Om Yoga, an interactive 360-degree photo booth, and music from K104. For children and families, there are dedicated stations for face painting, sand art, and a clown.
Support and Community
Participants are provided with complimentary Stewart’s ice cream after their run. The festival also includes food vendors, raffles, and various community activities.
