Calgary First Responders Half Marathon : October 18, 2026
The event offers multiple distance options along Calgary’s Bow River pathway system and supports first responder charities. Distances available include:
- 21 km two-lap course following the Bow River pathway
- 10 km out-and-back on the same route
- 5 km out-and-back on the same route
- 1 km short out-and-back using the George C. King Bridge
Entries include a short-sleeve cotton t-shirt (not guaranteed after October 2), a finisher medal, chip timing (pending minimum attendance), aid stations with fluids, post-race snacks, and eligibility for draw prizes. Entries received after October 2 are not guaranteed event merchandise.
Team entries are for groups of four; this is not a relay and all team members run together. Team results are calculated by averaging the four individual finish times; each runner also receives an individual time. If a team member cannot complete the race, remaining members receive only individual results.
Charity partners named for the event are OSI-CAN and Wounded Warriors Canada. A reduced-entry fundraising option is available: a discounted entry fee of $40 requires raising a minimum of $400 for a charity partner, with the difference charged if the minimum is not met before race day.
Race package pickup is available Saturday, October 17 and by request on Sunday, October 18. The Start Line is at St. Patrick’s Island Park – The Rise. Participants are encouraged to walk, cycle or use transit; limited vehicle parking is available in nearby areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
