Calgary First Responders Half Marathon - October 18, 2026
The event takes place Sunday October 18, 2026 in Calgary and uses the Bow River pathway system. The start location is St Patrick's Island Park, The Rise. Multiple distances and a team category are offered.
Distances:
- 21 km half marathon, run as two laps
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 km fun run
Listed entry fees are 90 CAD for the 21 km, 60 CAD for the 10 km, 50 CAD for the 5 km, and 25 CAD for the 1 km. Fees increase on the dates indicated and entries received after October 2 are not guaranteed event merchandise. In person registration is available at package pickup.
Entry packages normally include a short sleeve cotton t shirt (not guaranteed after October 2), a finisher medal, chip timing subject to minimum attendance otherwise manual timing, aid stations with fluids, post race snacks and eligibility for draw prizes. Prices exclude GST and online transaction fees.
Team details: teams consist of four runners, this is not a relay and all team members run together. Team results are calculated by averaging the four individual times; each runner also receives an individual time. If one or more team members cannot complete the race, remaining members will be scored individually only. Routes may change due to city construction and it is the athlete's responsibility to know the course.
The event supports OSI CAN and Wounded Warriors Canada. A charity entry option offers a reduced entry fee of 40 CAD in exchange for a minimum fundraising commitment of 400 CAD; failure to meet the minimum 24 hours before race day will result in a charge for the difference.
