FIREMEN'S 5 - Bremen, IN
FIREMEN'S 5 is a community running event held as part of the Bremen Firemen's Festival on Saturday June 14. The event benefits the Hoosier Burn Camp for Kids, with 100% of proceeds directed to that charity. The event marks the festival's eleventh anniversary and is presented by Southwire.
The race uses a closed road course through the town of Bremen. The course is chip timed, begins at Jane's Park and finishes at the Firemen's Festival area in Sunnyside Park. Separate awards are given to age group winners; monetary payouts are awarded to the overall 5k men's and women's winners.

Entry fees and deadlines are published for the event: early registration, a higher fee after a specified date, and a day-of registration fee; a t-shirt order deadline is also listed. A social discount reduces a registration fee when a signed friend registers. Firefighter gear runners compete for a traveling trophy axe, and additional pledged funds from gear runners go entirely to the burn camp.
