FireKracker 5K

The FireKracker 5K takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at City Park in Fort Collins, Colorado. It features three events on the holiday morning:

FireKracker 5K: A 5K run or walk starting at 7:30 AM.
Kids 1-Mile: A 1-mile event for participants 12 and under, starting at 9:00 AM.
Elite 5K: A separate competitive 5K starting at 8:30 AM.

Packet pickup and registration are available on race day from 6:15 AM to 7:15 AM. An early packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race, Friday, July 3rd, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at a location to be announced. The event schedule includes a national anthem performance before the main race and an awards ceremony at 9:30 AM.

The race is part of the local Independence Day celebrations, with the City of Fort Collins parade beginning at 10:00 AM and a fireworks display scheduled for 9:30 PM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
