Fireflight Balloon Fest 5K Run/Walk, Shawnee OK
The event is a 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Cultural Heritage Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma. The course runs on Firelake Golf Course and is mostly flat with mild inclines and declines at the start and finish.
All participants receive a custom race medal and an event t-shirt. Race t-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after July 22, 2026. The event uses professional chip timing and official finish times are provided; results are posted within 48 hours of race finish.
The entry fee is $40; additional online registration processing fees may apply. Registration is available online via RunSignUp with a deadline of August 4. Race day registration is not permitted. Packet pickup is offered at the Firelake Wellness Center on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7; pickup is not available on race day.
On-course support is provided for a limited time and includes a first aid station with bottled water around the midway point. Refreshments are available at the finish. Strollers and animals are not permitted on course. All participants aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers.
