Firefighter 5K Atlanta
The Firefighter 5K, hosted by Atlanta's Bravest, takes place on September 12, 2026 and begins and ends at Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 1 at 71 Elliott St SW, Atlanta, GA 30313. Proceeds benefit the Atlanta Fire Rescue Foundation. The event distance is 5K and is open to participants ages 8 and older. Registered participants receive a short sleeve adidas shirt.
Atlanta Track Club holds events rain or shine; the presence of lightning or other severe weather may cause a delay or cancellation. The course has a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes for the 5K (25 minute per mile pace). For safety, no headphones, pets, or wheeled conveyances of any kind, including strollers, roller or inline skates, and bicycles, are permitted on the course.
Paid parking is available in public lots near Station 1; the closest lots are at 134 Forsyth St and 135 Forsyth St. Public transit is an option: Atlanta Fire Rescue Station 1 is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Five Points MARTA Station. Timing uses a MYLAPS ThinTag placed on the back of the bib; to ensure accurate times the bib must be clearly visible on the front of the torso, unaltered and unmodified, pinned in all four corners, and not covered. Overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards on net time; categories include overall and masters winners, top firefighter, and age group awards for the top three men and women in each listed age group.
