Firecracker 5K - Westport
The Firecracker 5K is the 19th annual road race organized by Oldham County Parks and Recreation. It takes place on July 11, 2026 at Schamback Park in Westport, Kentucky, on the Ohio River. The course starts and finishes in Schamback Park and follows roads around the small town of Westport.
All participants receive a finish medal. Participants who register before the registration close date are guaranteed a short sleeve shirt. Late registrants and day of race participants will receive shirts while supplies last.
Awards are presented to the overall female and male winners and to top finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
Registration opens December 8, 2025 and closes May 30, 2026. The stated registration fee is $45.00. Packet pickup is held on the day of the race in the shelter at Schamback Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
