Event Overview

The 19th annual Firecracker 5K, organized by Oldham County Parks and Recreation, takes place on July 11, 2026, in Westport, Kentucky. The race is staged at Schamback Park, situated along the Ohio River.

Course Details

The 5 km route begins and ends within Schamback Park. Participants travel out from the park onto the roads surrounding the town of Westport before returning to the park for the finish.

Participant Information

All finishers receive a medal upon completing the course. Individuals who pre-register are guaranteed a short-sleeve shirt. For those who register late or on the morning of the event, shirts are provided based on remaining availability. Packet pickup is available on the morning of the race at the Schamback Park shelter.
