Firecracker 5K and Sparkler 1 Mile Fun Run, Tallahassee
The Firecracker 5K and Sparkler 1 Mile Fun Run take place on July 4 at Cascades Park in Tallahassee, located at 1001 South Gadsden Street, FL 32301. The event is presented as a family friendly walk and run with proceeds benefiting the Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Virtual Kiwanis Club of the Big Bend. The 5K is part of a Grand Prix this year. Registration and fees include early bird and regular pricing. For the 5K the early bird fee is $30 through June 19 and regular registration is $40 through July 1 and race day. Children 12 years or younger pay reduced 5K rates of $13 early bird and $15 regular and receive a t shirt at no charge. The 1 Mile early bird fee is $25 and regular registration is $35; children 12 years or under pay $13 early bird and $15 regular and receive a t shirt at no charge. Discounts are listed for families, sponsors, local fitness groups, Firecracker 5K Training Program runners, and various clubs.
Packet pick up is scheduled on June 28 at Getaway Grill and on June 30 at The Good Feet Store in the Trader Joes Plaza.
