Firecracker 5k and Sparkler 1-Mile Fun Run - Tallahassee
The Firecracker 5k and the Sparkler 1 Mile fun run take place on July 4, 2026 at Cascades Park in Tallahassee, located at 1001 South Gadsden Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. The event is presented to assist the Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Virtual Kiwanis Club of the Big Bend. This year's theme is "Life, Liberty, & Pursuit of Miles!"

Registration opens April 15, 2026. Early bird rates apply through June 19. Regular registration continues through July 1 and on race day. Fee structure published by the organizer includes the following examples: 5K early bird $30; 5K regular $40; 5K for children 12 and under early bird $13 and regular $15. 1 Mile early bird $25; 1 Mile regular $35; 1 Mile for children 12 and under early bird $13 and regular $15. Children receive a t-shirt at no charge where indicated.
Discounts are available for registration without shirts, sponsors, local fitness groups, Firecracker 5K Training Program runners, and various clubs. Packet pick-up details are listed as coming soon.
