Firecracker 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run
The Firecracker 5k and Sparkler 1-mile fun run takes place on 07/04/2026 at Cascades Park, 1001 South Gadsden Street, Tallahassee FL 32301. The event combines a family-friendly 5K walk/run and a community 1-mile fun run. Proceeds assist the Capital City Kiwanis Club and the Virtual Kiwanis Club of the Big Bend. This year the 5K is part of a Grand Prix and the event theme is Life, Liberty, & Pursuit of Miles.

Registration details include an early bird period through June 19 and regular registration continuing through July 1 and race day. Published fees include early bird 5K registration at $30 and regular 5K registration at $40; youth 5K early bird $13 and youth regular $15. The 1-mile early bird fee is $25 and the regular fee is $35; youth 1-mile early bird $13 and youth regular $15. Children receive a t shirt at no charge. Discounts are available for sponsors, local fitness groups, Firecracker 5K training program runners, and various clubs; eligibility is determined by the organizers.
