Firecracker 5K, Side Lake Minnesota

The Firecracker 5K is scheduled for July 3, 2026 in Side Lake, Minnesota. The event is the seventh annual running of this 5 kilometer course and will take place at Bimbo's Octagon, 7626 Highway 5, Side Lake.

The course runs through local neighborhoods with views of the lakes and northern pines. This year's theme is "Salute to America, Celebrating 250 years of Freedom."

Entry details and race provisions are as follows. Entry fees are $25 for adults 18 and up and $20 for youth 17 and under. The registration fee includes a T shirt. Registration opens May 4 and closes July 1. Registrations completed before June 15 are guaranteed a T shirt and a commemorative sticker for the event. Registrations completed before July 1 are eligible for the race discount; the race discount does not apply to same day registration. Same day registration will be available beginning at 7:00 a.m. Race apparel may be offered for additional purchase on the day of the event, but availability is not guaranteed.
