Fit Time 365 Nutrition Firecracker 5K Run/Walk
The event features a 5K Run/Walk and a 1K Fun Run through historic downtown Monroe, passing locally owned restaurants and historic sites. The meeting location is Fit Time 365 Nutrition at 701 North 4th Street, Monroe, LA 71201. The 5K includes chip-timed bibs and medals for overall male and female finishers.
Online registration is listed at $30 and race day registration is listed at $35. Kids 10 years and under may participate for free when accompanied by a registered 5K adult; children without a paid registration do not receive a t-shirt, bib, or medal. Organizers guarantee t-shirts for early online registrants and for the first 100 participants.
Awards are planned for overall male and female winners and for 1st through 3rd place within age-group categories. A portion of event proceeds will benefit The Chennault Aviation and Military Museum and The Black Creatives Circle of North Louisiana. Roller blades and skates are prohibited on the race course.
