Event overview
The Firecracker 5K for the Troops presented by Leidos is scheduled for July 4, 2026 in Reston, Virginia. The event is based at Reston Town Center, 11900 Market St., Reston, VA 20190. The live race will be electronically timed using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system and results will be posted immediately after the race. Logistics, awards, and participant items
All pre-registered participants receive a race shirt, a race bib, a medal, post-race snacks, free race photos, and a digital finisher certificate. Packet pickup is available at =PR= Reston. Awards in the live race will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female age-group finishers in five-year increments from 14 and under through 80 and over.
