Firecracker 5K for the Troops
The Firecracker 5K for the Troops is a running event scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026. It takes place at Reston Town Center in Reston, Virginia. The event includes several categories.

All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative race shirt, a medal, and a race bib. Participants also get post-race snacks, access to free downloadable photos, and a digital finisher certificate. To get race photos, runners are asked to keep their bib visible.
The live race will be timed by Commonwealth Race Management using electronic timing. Awards are given in the live race for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as for the top three finishers in age groups from 14 and under to 80 and over. There are no awards for the virtual race category.
