Logistics and entry items
Early packet pickup is at Playtri Dallas, Hillside Village Shopping Center, on July 2 (2:00pm-6:00pm) and July 3 (2:00pm-5:00pm). Race day packet pickup is at the race site. Virtual participants receive a t-shirt and finisher medal by mail during the week after the race. The in-person event includes a brunch pass that covers an American hot dog and a beer or mimosa for participants 21 and older with ID. There are 70 valet parking spots at the venue plus other nearby parking.
Course, timing and rules
The 5K and 1 mile take place on the Katy Trail. Water stops on the 5K course are located at mile 1 and mile 2. The 5K is chip timed with disposable timing tags; bibs must be worn visibly on the front. Per USATF safety rules, pets are not allowed on the 5K; pets are welcome in the 1 mile event. Strollers are allowed. The minimum age for the 5K is 6; there is no minimum age for the 1 mile. Awards are given for overall top finishers, masters and grand masters, and age-group top three male and female finishers. Race management may change courses for safety or other production concerns.
