Firecracker 5K - Barnegat Township
The Firecracker 5K takes place on July 4, 2026 at Barnegat High School in Barnegat, New Jersey. The event is presented by Barnegat High School Cross Country and Track and Field.
Distances offered:
- 400 m - Kids 10 years or younger; one lap around the track; finisher ribbons to all.
- 5K - Timed event; t-shirt included if registered by June 14, 2026.
All parking is located at Barnegat High School, with the track and turf field uphill from the lot. T-shirts are adult sizes and will be available for pick-up on race day under the pavilion next to the track and turf field. Race bibs and race day registration are also located under the pavilion. Bathrooms are located on each side of the snack stand.
The 5K is open to runners, walkers, and strollers; no pets are allowed. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Funds raised support the Barnegat High School Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
