FIRECRACKER 4K

The Firecracker 4K is a running and walking event held on July 4, 2026, as part of the Central Pa 4thFest on the Penn State main campus in University Park, Pennsylvania. The course starts near Beaver Stadium and uses campus roads and paths. The event is presented in conjunction with Central Pa 4thFest, which also includes an evening fireworks display.

Online registration opens April 1 and closes April 30, 2026; a day of registration window is also provided on the mezzanine inside Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. The listed registration fee is $20.26. Race T shirts are guaranteed to participants who register during early signup periods, which end June 25, and shirts are available in specified youth and adult sizes.

Post race refreshments are provided and the route includes a water station mid route. Awards include overall top male and female and top three male and female finishers in each age category 10 and under, 11 to 14, 15 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
