Nittany Valley Half Marathon
The Nittany Valley Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile road race held in State College, PA on Sunday, December 6, 2026. The course begins and ends on Penn State campus and passes through rolling countryside, follows Spring Creek, goes through Houserville, and includes a climb up Orchard Hill before returning to the Penn State Snider Ag Arena.
The route is well marked and staffed by volunteers positioned along the course to guide and support participants. Runners have up to four hours to complete the course. Registration includes a time chipped bib. Discounted fees apply through October 1, 2026 and online registration remains open until December 2, 2026.
Proceeds benefit Centre Volunteers in Medicine, the county free clinic that provides medical, dental, behavioral health, case management, and medication assistance to uninsured residents of Centre County. Fundraising is optional; registered participants receive a customizable fundraising page and basic fundraising tools, including email templates. Donations made through the event go directly to patient care.
The event has a no refund policy; if the race is canceled, registration fees are treated as donations to Centre Volunteers in Medicine. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
