Event
The Nittany Valley Half-Marathon is a road race in State College, Pennsylvania. It began in 1984 as part of the final running of the Nittany Valley Marathon and was formerly associated with the Nittany Valley Running Club. The event is held annually in December and typically draws several hundred runners each year.
Charity and volunteering
The race benefits Centre Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM). CVIM is a free clinic that provides primary and preventive medical and dental care for residents of Centre County and some workers who live outside the county. The event lists volunteer opportunities for set-up, on-course assistance, water stops and post-race duties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
