Fire Tower Trail Races

The Fire Tower Trail Races take place in St. Croix State Park in Hinckley, Minnesota. The event offers four race distances: 100K, 50K, 35K, and 11K.

The courses take runners on a route through the scenic Kettle River valley. The trails go through forests, along rivers, and through prairie. The course is described as flat. Runners in the 50K and 100K distances will have the opportunity to climb a historic fire tower during the race, with the 100K runners climbing it twice. An alternative option is available for those who cannot or do not wish to climb.
