The St. Croix 40 Winter Ultra takes place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Hinckley, Minnesota. The course runs roughly 40 miles through St. Croix State Park, starting from the area near 30065 St Croix Park Rd. The event offers three disciplines:

40 miles - Run

Format and rules

The race is presented as a winter survivalist event. Participants are required to carry all essential survival gear and to travel the course during a cold night. Competitors must demonstrate the use of their survival gear at two separate points on the course. All registrations are final and nonrefundable.
