Fire Hydrant 5K & Dog Expo
The Fire Hydrant 5K & Dog Expo is scheduled for May 31, 2026 in Huntington Beach, California. The event takes place at Huntington Central Park and uses paved pathways that loop around the park lakes.
The program includes a professionally timed 5K and a 1 mile Kids Dash for children aged 4 to 12 years.

5K participants receive a race tee, a finisher medal, and a dog bandana. All 1 mile dash participants receive a medal. All registered runners are entered into a raffle drawing. Awards will be presented to 1st through 3rd place overall male and female in the 5K.
The Dog Expo is free and features pet vendors, adoptable dogs, contests, and canine entertainment. Pre-registration is required to enter dog contests and to use the agility course; pre-registered expo attendees are entered into the raffle drawing.
