Fire and Rescue 5K
The Fire and Rescue 5K is a community road race held in Winchester, Virginia, with the Village Square Restaurant on the Winchester City Walking Mall serving as the event location and packet pickup site. The race supports the Winchester Fire and Rescue Foundation.
The event distance is 5K. Registration opens June 10, 2026 and closes October 3, 2026. The registration fee is $35.00.
Packet pickup takes place at Village Square Restaurant, 103 North Loudoun Street, on Friday, October 9 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, and again at the race starting location on Saturday morning from 7:00 am to 7:30 am.
Awards are given in overall and age-group categories. Overall Open top three male and female finishers receive cash prizes of $200 for first, $100 for second, and $50 for third. Juniors (ages 12 to 17) receive medals for first through third place. Masters (age 40 and above) receive $50 for first place male and female and medals for first through third place. No award duplication between overall and age-group categories will occur.
