Finish Line Frolic is an annual running event organised by Hare & Tortoise Running at Belchamps Camp, Holyoak Lane, Hockley SS5 4JD. Course, facilities and logistics
The course is a lapped trail route with an aid station at the end of every lap. Runners may leave a personal bag at the aid station. Available refreshments include flapjacks, fruit, nuts, water and squash. The event is cupless - no disposable cups are provided - so participants must bring a reusable receptacle or purchase a Hydrapak Speedcup. Toilets are located in Belchamps Park. There is ample on-site parking; organisers advise drivers not to use Mount Bovers Lane and instead follow the signed route via Main Road, Poplars Avenue, Woodside Chase and Holyoak Lane.
Charity
Proceeds support the Finish Line Fund, established in 2014 and registered as a charity in 2018 (charity number 1179170). The charity provides grants to runners and families affected by serious injury, disability or death while running, and promotes amateur running and sports in Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas by organising events and providing equipment and sponsorship.
