Southend Triathlon
The Southend Triathlon is hosted by JBR Run & Tri Club and RTC Events and takes place on 21 June 2026 at the car park area of Uncle Toms Cabin, Shoebury Common Road, Southend-on-Sea, SS3 9HG. The event uses a coastal swim with a mass start and includes a secure transition area near the event site.
Race options include:
- Sprint Distance: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Standard Distance: 1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run
- Aqua Bike Standard Distance: 1500m swim, 40k bike
- Team Relay Standard Distance: 1500m swim, 40k bike, 10k run (minimum 3 people)
- Duathlon: 2.5k run, 20k bike, 2.5k run
Entries include a fully signposted course, chip timing, XXL race buoys marking the swim, a large water safety team with boat, first aid team with response vehicle, security and stewards, and an event team of 50 plus staff on race day. Participants receive a bespoke metal medal, swim cap and race belt. Marshals are present along routes to support and direct competitors. The finish area includes a red carpet.
