Event overview
The Fighter 5k is organised by West Norfolk Athletic Club and takes place on 17/05/2026 at Great Massingham Airfield, Weasenham Road, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, PE32 2EY. The event is a fully licenced England Athletics race and the course is officially measured (course number 24/515). The race raises funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and supports the local food bank The Purfleet Pantry; £500 was raised in 2025 and the organisers are aiming to raise £750 for 2026. The advertised minimum age for entry is 11.
Course, entries and prizes
The course is a single lap incorporating the airfield perimeter track and runways with a fully run-able concrete surface. Chip timing is used for results. The event is held on private land so recce runs are not permitted. Drones are not allowed and the course is not suitable for wheelchair racers. Parking is directed to the carpark on the old main runway; What3Words location is ///flop.bombshell.cards.
Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. No entries are taken on the day; transfers to another runner are allowed until midnight on 09/05/2026. Entry fees are listed as affiliated £17.99 and unaffiliated £19.99 (including admin fee). Cash prizes are offered to the top three male and female finishers: 1st £40, 2nd £20, 3rd £10. A £50 bonus is offered for breaking the male or female course record, with rollover rules up to £250. Age group winners receive free entry to the following year.
