Event Details
The Fiesta 5k Challenge is an annual running event benefiting the Emory ALS Center. The 2026 event will be its 20th edition.
It is held in memory of Jon Blais and in honor of those affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Funds from the event support research at the Emory ALS Center. The event offers in-person and virtual participation options.
Event Offerings
Participants can register for three events:
- Fiesta 5k Challenge: A chip-timed 5 km road race. Registered participants receive a finisher medal and a t-shirt (guaranteed for registrations by April 16, 2026). Free photos are provided.
- Fiesta Kids Fun Run: A fun run for participants aged 14 and under.
- Virtual Runner: A virtual participation option where runners can complete their distance independently and submit results.
The event takes place rain or shine at the Cumming City Center, located at 423 Canton Rd. in Cumming, Georgia.
Additional Information
Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, overall masters male and female finishers, and the top three finishers in multiple age groups. Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at Big Peach Running Co. in Cumming and on race morning at the event location.
