Fiesta 5k Challenge - Benefiting Emory ALS Center
The Fiesta 5k Challenge takes place on May 2, 2026, in Cumming, GA at 423 Canton Rd, 30040. The event is the 20th annual edition and is held in memory of a person who died from ALS in 2005 and in honor of those living with or lost to ALS. Proceeds benefit the Emory ALS Center.
The event includes an in-person chip-timed 5k, a Fiesta Kids Fun Run open to ages 14 and under, and a Virtual Runner option. The 5k offers free photos and a race t-shirt that is guaranteed for registrations completed by April 16, 2026. Virtual participants receive email instructions on how to submit results. The event will be held rain or shine.
Awards are given to Overall Male and Female and Overall Masters Male and Female, plus the top three finishers in age groups ranging from 10 and under through 75 and older. Packet pick up is available Friday at Big Peach Cumming, 5485 Bethelview Rd #430, and on race day at Cumming City Center, 423 Canton Rd. Participants may pick up packets for others; for more than five packets, racers should email the organizers by Thursday at 12pm to request bundling.
Sponsors and fundraising teams participate each year. The event notes that 100% of funds raised support Emory research toward treatments and a cure for ALS. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
