Fido Fest 5K and Fun Run
Fido Fest 5K and Fun Run is scheduled for September 26, 2026, at Ashley Park in Newnan, Georgia. The event combines timed and untimed running options and a family-friendly festival on site.
The event includes:
- 5K on a USATF certified course, Peachtree Road Race qualifying
- 1 mile Fun Run, untimed
- Puppy Prance tot trot, no registration required
The event is a fundraiser for Hearts n Homes Rescue, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit that places at-risk dogs and puppies in Coweta County. All proceeds support the rescue and related activities; donations are tax deductible.
Race details note that the 5K uses chip timing and that race day registration is available via QR code with credit or debit only. Early registration is suggested to guarantee a race shirt and same-day registration kiosks are available. A school participation award will be given to the school with the highest number of registrants.
Well behaved, vaccinated dogs are welcome, with a preference of no more than two dogs per person. Water and waste bags will be provided and participants are asked to pick up after their pets.
