Fido Fest 5K and Fun Run takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Ashley Park in Newnan, Georgia (370 Newnan Crossing Bypass, Newnan, GA 30263). The event includes a 5K and a 1 mile Fun Run, plus a tot trot called the "Puppy Prance" that requires no registration. The 5K uses chip timing; the Fun Run is not timed.
Race details and purpose
The 5K course is USATF certified, certification number GA21012DJ, and is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. Entry fees listed on the event page are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run; the price structure changes close to the race date and same-day registration kiosks are available. Raceday registration can be completed via a QR code using credit or debit only. Well behaved, vaccinated dogs are welcome; organizers prefer no more than two dogs per participant and will provide water and waste bags. All proceeds benefit Hearts 'n Homes Rescue, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on rescue, fostering, and adoption for dogs and puppies at risk in Coweta County. A school participation award will be given to the school with the highest number of registrants. Course maps are provided for both events.
