Event Overview
The Fido Fest 5K and Fun Run, organized in partnership between Hearts 'n Homes Rescue and Ashley Park, returns for its ninth edition in Newnan, Georgia. This community event serves as a fundraiser for Hearts 'n Homes Rescue, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting dogs and puppies in Coweta County. The event takes place at the Ashley Park shopping center and includes multiple running activities and a post-race festival.

Race Details
The 3.1 Miles event is a certified Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event and features chip timing for participants. The 1 Mile Fun Run is an untimed activity. Additionally, the event features the Puppy Prance, a trot for small children that does not require prior registration.
Participants may register in advance to receive a race shirt. On-site registration is available via QR codes for credit or debit card payments. A school participation award is presented to the educational institution with the highest number of registered participants.
Animal Participation and Amenities
Well-behaved and vaccinated dogs are permitted to participate, with a preference of no more than two dogs per human. Organizers provide water and waste bags for pets on-site. Following the running events, the Fido Fest portion of the day includes food trucks, various vendors, and entertainment.
