Fidalgo Trail Run

Fidalgo Trail Run is held in Deception Pass State Park with start and finish at Bowman Bay on a sandy beach and picnic area. Courses run through forested trails, along saltwater shorelines and include multiple loops and lollipops to Rosario Head, Lighthouse and Lottie Point. Half-marathon and marathon runners cross the Deception Pass Bridge, continue to Goose Rock and complete an out-and-back to West Beach; the marathon is two loops of the half-marathon course.

Aid stations are placed along the courses with food and hydration; Evergreen Trail Runs events are CUPLESS, so runners must carry a refillable container. Packet pickup, drop bag service and shuttles for half-marathon parking are provided. Parking at Bowman Bay is limited and a Discover Pass is required for park parking; half-marathon participants park off-site at 3720 H Ave, Anacortes, WA and are shuttled to the event.

A free kids race of about 0.6 miles follows a gentle beachside route at Bowman Bay; parents may run with their children. Elevation gains listed for the main races are approximately 1300 ft for the 5 Mile, 3300 ft for the half marathon and 6600 ft for the marathon. The event recognizes Tulalip and Skagit peoples as traditional inhabitants of the lands used for the race. Finishers receive a handmade finisher item produced with solar power in Anacortes.
