Fidalgo Trail Run
The Fidalgo Trail Run takes place in Deception Pass State Park with start and finish at Bowman Bay on Fidalgo Island. The event date is September 26th, 2026. Courses run through forested trails, along ocean shorelines, and over the Deception Pass Bridge via a pedestrian walkway that remains open to traffic during the event.
Course format uses loops and lollipops that access Rosario, Lighthouse, and Lottie Points. The half marathon route includes trails around Pass Lake, a crossing of the Deception Pass Bridge, the Goose Rock summit loop, and an out and back to West Beach; the marathon completes the half course loop twice. All distances pass the Bowman Bay area and include ocean views toward Puget Sound and nearby islands.

Elevation gain is listed as 1300 ft for the 5 Mile, 3300 ft for the Half, and 6600 ft for the Full. Aid stations provide food and hydration and are located at specified mile markers on each course. The event is cupless; all runners must carry a refillable container. Parking at Bowman Bay is limited and a Discover Pass is required for park parking; half marathon participants will be parked off-site and shuttled to the race area. The event operates under a Special Use Permit from Washington State Parks. A free Woodland Speeders kids race of about 0.6 miles runs along the Bowman Bay shoreline.
