Felix Grundy 5K
The Felix Grundy 5K is part of the Felix Grundy Days festival in Grundy Center, Iowa. Events start and finish at the Grundy Center High School Track, 1006 M Avenue. The program includes registered race events and free community fitness activities held during the festival.
Registered events
- 5K timed race with awards by age group.
- 2 mile non timed run, walk, or stroll with a costume contest.
Free activities
- 100 yard Boot Camp Challenge.
- 400 meter BIG TOP BOLT dash.
Awards and prizes are offered for the timed 5K; 1st and 2nd place female and male finishers will be recognized in each age group: 0-5, 6-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The 2 mile event includes costume contest awards for individual, family, stroller or wheelchair, and pet divisions. All paid registrants are entered into door prize drawings.
The event is sponsored by Titan Machinery and Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Proceeds from the races support the Grundy Family YMCA and the Grundy Center Wellness Committee.
