Felix Grundy 5K
Felix Grundy 5K takes place on July 11, 2026, at the Grundy Center High School Track, 1006 M Avenue, Grundy Center, IA, as part of the Felix Grundy Festival. The event includes a mix of registered races and free fitness activities held on the school track and field.
Participants can choose from these events:
- Timed 5K race (Big Top Trot)
- Non-timed 2 mile fun run, walk, or stroll
- Big Top 100 yard Boot Camp Challenge (free)
- 400 meter BIG TOP BOLT dash (free)
Awards and recognition are provided for the timed 5K with first and second place male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups are 0-5, 6-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The non-timed 2 mile event includes a costume contest with divisions for family, individual, stroller or wheelchair, and pet. Registered participants who pay a race fee are entered into door prize drawings.
The event is sponsored by Titan Machinery and Grundy County Memorial Hospital, with proceeds benefiting the Grundy Family YMCA and the Grundy Center Wellness Committee.
