Course and logistics

The course uses dirt, rocky, and rooty single-track trails. The terrain is hilly, with about 400 ft elevation gain per 10K loop. Historic average temperatures for the event period are 63-82 degrees. The event is a no-cup race; participants must bring a water bottle or vest and a water-carrying system is required for all events.

Aid stations include a main aid station at the start/finish area (Mile 6) with road and crew access and drop-bag availability. A secondary water station is located at Mile 3.69 without road or crew access. Aid offerings include hot and cold foods, snacks, electrolytes, pickle juice, ice, and water.

Awards and nearby lodging

Participants receive event apparel and finisher medals. First-place awards are given for each distance by gender. Ruck participants receive a ruck patch; 50K and ruck distances include "dead freakin' last" awards. Lodging options and an RV park are available within roughly 7-15 minutes of the start/finish area.
