Feed My Starving Children 5k/10k at Red Mountain Park
The event is held at Red Mountain Park in Birmingham, Alabama, beginning at the Frankfurt Drive entrance. It offers dedicated trail courses on park paths and gravel surfaces.
Distances
- 5K: flat, wide gravel out-and-back descending to the Eureka Trail
- 10K: follows the park outer perimeter trail then returns to the start
Course details note water availability on both courses. The 5K includes one water stop at the turnaround. The 10K has water stops at the turnaround and at approximately 3.5 miles.
Registration fees are listed as $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K. Registration opens 8/4/2026 and closes 10/10/2026. The deadline for guaranteed shirts is 9/27.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers. Proceeds from the event will support an upcoming Feed My Starving Children mobile pack scheduled for January at Pleasant Hill UMC in McCalla, Alabama. Organizers report that over the past 12 years Kingdom Builders in McCalla has organized mobile packs that prepared more than one million meals and provided food for over 2,700 children.
