Join the 6th Annual Feed Fairfax 5K, a community road race and fun run on May 2nd, 2026. This event raises funds and assembles weekend meal packs for local children facing food insecurity. Run through the Greenbriar neighborhood and be part of an effort that packed over 187,000 meals last year.

Feed Fairfax 5K

The Feed Fairfax 5K is an annual 5K road race and 1-mile fun run/walk event held on May 2nd, 2026, in Fairfax, Virginia. The event is organized to raise money and provide food for children in Fairfax County who experience food insecurity. All participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to assemble Power Packs, which contain seven meals, for distribution to local children.

The event takes place at the Planet Fitness parking lot in Greenbriar Town Center on Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. Participants can register for several events:

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: 18 & under

Registration fees vary. The 5K is $35 until April 17th, increasing to $40 and then $45. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is $25 until April 17th, increasing to $30 and then $35. Youth events (18 & under) are $15. Online registration remains open until the morning of the event. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race and on race morning.

Awards are given based on chip time for top overall finishers and age groups. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. The 1-mile fun run is timed. Registrants receive a commemorative bib, custom race shirt, and custom finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
