Event overview
The Fayetteville Spartan Race is scheduled for May 2-3, 2026 at McCormick Farms, 7765 McCormick Bridge Road, Spring Lake, NC. The venue covers over 1000 acres and features variable terrain including dense forest, rolling hills, steep riverbanks and a 200-foot deep quarry. The weekend is part of the South National Series and includes a Trifecta Weekend option to complete Sprint, Super and Beast races in one weekend. Course maps are subject to change depending on conditions.
Race formats and obstacles
Distances offered:
- Sprint - 5 km, 20 obstacles
- Super - 10 km, 25 obstacles
- Beast - 21 km, 30 obstacles
- Ultra - 50 km, 60 obstacles
- Kids Race - 1-3 km, with obstacles
Obstacles listed for the event include Atlas Carry (men 100 lb / 45 kg; women 75 lb / 35 kg), A-frame cargo, barbed wire crawl, fire jump, inverted wall, bucket carry, Hercules hoist, multi-rig, rope climb (16 ft / 4.8 m), sandbag carry (men 60 lb / 27 kg; women 40 lb / 18 kg), slip wall, spear throw (target 25 ft / 7.6 m), and walls ranging from 4 to 8 ft. The Multi-Rig and other obstacles may vary by race level and location.
Additional information
Sprint finishers receive a finisher medal and finisher tee. Completing a Super and Beast in the same year yields a Trifecta medal. The event lists festival entrance for finishers, a team option to lock the same start time, volunteer opportunities to race for free, and a service member discount of up to 25% via GOVX verification.
