The Fawn 5K
The Fawn 5K is an annual run and walk event organized by Short's Fawn Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the care of sick, injured, and orphaned fawns. The event takes place in Dryden, Michigan, and serves as a fundraiser to support the rescue's operations in Lapeer County and surrounding areas.
The race is held on the Polly Ann Trail. The course starts and finishes near Dryden Memorial Park and Mulholland Drive. Participants follow the trail and turn around near the bridge over the Belle River. The event utilizes Miller Race Management for professional timing, and results are available as participants finish the course.

Optional event shirts are available for purchase in different materials, including cotton blends and polyester tek varieties. Registration follows a tiered pricing structure with early, regular, and late periods. Participants have the option to use a sponsor sheet to collect additional donations for the rescue. Awards are presented at the event as soon as timing for participants is confirmed.
