About the Event
The Father's Day Race 5K Run/Walk is an event taking place at Southern Hills Park in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is the 7th annual edition of this event. The primary goal of the organizer, On a Mission LLC, is to raise funds for families experiencing homelessness and to provide scholarships for single fathers in college.

The event includes three participant options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Kids Age 5-19
- Sleep-In Supporter
Post-Race and Logistics
After the race, there will be food and drinks, including free food, horseback riding, and snow cones. Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and other hand-pushed or pulled vehicles are allowed on the course but must start at the back.
Awards are given to the overall male and female winners. Additionally, 1st and 2nd place awards are given in multiple age groups: 11-under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Participants who register before May 30th are guaranteed a race shirt. Packet pickup is available at RUN WILD next to Silver Star Grill on the Thursday and Friday before the race, and also at the race site on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
