Father's Day Half Marathon, 10k and 1k Fun Run
The Father's Day running event takes place in Lancaster, starting from the 3-1-5 Health Club. The event features multiple distances to accommodate different participants, including:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 1 km Family Fun Run
The half marathon follows a route along the riverside and utilizes various pedestrian and cycle paths in and around the city. The course is described as flat and fast, making it a suitable option for those attempting the distance for the first time or seeking to improve their personal best. All finishers in this category receive a medal and a t-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers.
The 10 km course is also flat and fast, following the riverside. This distance is positioned as a progression from shorter races or an opportunity for a timed performance. All finishers receive a medal, and prizes are available for the top three male and female finishers.
The 1k Family Fun Run is a non-competitive event where participants are encouraged to dress up or bring soft toys. For safety, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Finishers who are wearing a race number receive a medal.
Registration is available online, with different rates for affiliated club members and unaffiliated runners. Entries are also accepted on the day of the event with cash payments only.
