Father's Day 5K & 10K : Chesterton, IN
The event offers two road race distances on the Iron Horse Heritage Trail at Imagination Glen East Soccer Fields in Chesterton, Indiana. Runners can choose between:
- 5K run/walk
- 10K run
Both distances are held on a paved bike trail and the course is described as relatively flat. Timing mats and chip timing are used for finish results, and live results are available via text and email messaging. Directional signs will mark all turns.
Overall and age group awards are presented for each race. Awards include top overall and masters for men and women, plus the top three in multiple age brackets from 10 and under through 75 and up. Unclaimed awards may be claimed at The Extra Mile Fitness Co., Valparaiso, for up to 14 days after the event.
Registration is online only, with online registration open on race morning until the stated cutoff. Race premium sizes are guaranteed to those registered by June 10. Pre-race packet pick up is available at Extra Mile Fitness Company in Valparaiso on the specified dates and times, and onsite packet pick up is available on race morning.
