2026 Father's Day Dream 5k & 10k
Held at Wheaton Regional Park on June 21, this event offers both a 5k and a 10k on a course that uses park trails and paved sections. The route is mostly paved, includes rolling hills, and contains short stretches of trail and gravel.
- 5k - one loop of the course
- 10k - two loops of the course
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (Drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. Water stations are placed along the courses: five stations on the 10k at approximately mile markers 1.3, 2, 3.1, 4.4, and 5.1, and two stations on the 5k at approximately 1.3 and 2. Gatorade will be available at some stations.
Points from this race count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Spring Series. A virtual run option is offered for those unable to attend in person.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, plus first and second place in age groups 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. Top three overall finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about one hour before the race. Race day registration is possible, though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants. Live results are posted online and a QR code at the event provides immediate access.
