2026 Father’s Day Dream 5k & 10k
The event takes place on June 21, 2026 at Wheaton Regional Park in Silver Spring, Maryland. Distances offered:
- 5k
- 10k
Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available. Registered runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before June 10; extras may be available afterward on a first-come, first-served basis.
Course, logistics, and results
The route is paved for most of the distance, with rolling hills and some short sections of trail and gravel. The 5k is a single loop and the 10k is two loops. Water stations:
- 10k: five stations at approximately miles 1.3, 2.0, 3.1, 4.4, and 5.1
- 5k: two stations at approximately miles 1.3 and 2.0 Gatorade will be available at some stations.
Packet pickup is available at the event; runners are advised to arrive about one hour before their event to check in. Race day registration is offered, though T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for same-day registrants. Live results will be posted online, and final results with series points will be posted the Monday after the race.
