Blue Crab Bolt at Seneca Creek
Blue Crab Bolt at Seneca Creek is a trail running event on Saturday June 27, 2026, staged from the expo field inside Seneca Creek State Park in Gaithersburg, MD. The venue features lake views, scenic streams, and miles of singletrack hiking trails.
The event offers two measured course options that loop through park trails:
- 5K : actual distance 3.3 miles
- 10K : actual distance 6.4 miles
Elevation gain is listed as 200 feet for the 5K and 450 feet for the 10K. Bathrooms include portajons and park restrooms at the start and finish. Parking is in grass overflow and adjacent paved areas; participants are asked to follow race parking signs once inside the park.
Race rules include no in-ear headphones, no pets or pacers on course, no baby strollers, visible race numbers worn on the front, and a requirement to stay on designated trails. Outside assistance is permitted only within 50 meters of an aid station. There are no course cut-off times.
Registration fees vary by distance and purchase date; listed ranges are $40 to $55 for the 5K and $50 to $65 for the 10K. Fees are listed as including aid stations, medical support, post-race food, a race t-shirt, awards, and other race services. Individual race medals are optional for an additional fee and a special series medal is provided to competitors who complete all three series races.
