About the race
The Father Judge High School Crusader Classic 5K is an annual road running event held at Pennypack Park with a course that starts at the band shell, continues along the banks of the Pennypack Creek, and finishes with a lap around the Father Judge High School track behind the school. The listed distance for the event is 3.11 Miles.
Parking is available in the lots behind the high school. Event tee shirts are provided to all who preregister and to race-day registrants while supplies last. Registration opens on 2026-08-01 and closes on 2026-09-14; the standard registration fee is $30.00 and a discount is applied at checkout for registrants 18 and under.
Medals are presented to first through third place male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over. Additional awards include recognition for the overall winner, the first Father Judge student, the first alumni, and the first female finisher.
The event is sponsored by the Friends of Father Judge High School, a 501(c)(3) organization, and benefits a firefighter scholarship fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
