Faster Pastor Jeff’s Run for St. Jude
The Faster Pastor Jeff’s Run for St. Jude is an annual athletic event held in the town of Start, Louisiana. The event takes place at the Start Baptist Church and features three different race distances to accommodate various participation levels. All proceeds from the event support the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The available distances include:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile (Fun Mile)
The 10K and 5K courses utilize an out and back format. Participants depart from the church parking lot, travel onto Charleston Drive and Webb Hill Road, and return to the original starting point. The Fun Mile is also an out and back route located on Owl Loop, adjacent to the church premises.
All finishers across all three events receive a finisher’s medal. For the 5K and 10K races, additional awards are presented to the overall male and female champions. Medals are also awarded within specific age divisions for both men and women, ranging from 19 and under to 60 and older.
Packet pickup is organized at the church fellowship hall on the evening prior to the race and on the morning of the event. While registration is primarily conducted online, a limited number of race-day registrations may be available, though shirts and medals are not guaranteed for late entries.
