Grin & Bear It Race in Delhi Louisiana
The 14th annual Grin & Bear It event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Poverty Point Reservoir in Delhi, Louisiana, with the venue listed as Poverty Point State Park, 1500 Poverty Point Parkway, Delhi LA 71232.
The event offers multiple running distances and a kids fun run:
- 0.5 mile Kids Fun Run for ages 1 to 10
- 5K Run or Walk
- 10K Run or Walk
- Half marathon (13.1 miles)
Entry fees vary by event; typical fees listed include $25 for standard 5K and 10K registrations and $35 for the half marathon. Student discounted entries are available at reduced fees and do not include a T-shirt. The kids fun run is free for children 10 and under but does not include a T-shirt. T-shirt availability is tied to early registration and late registrants are not guaranteed shirts. Extra shirts are offered for purchase.
Packet pickup is provided at the Delhi Hospital classroom on the days before the race and at the race site on race day. Age groups are defined for the 5K, 10K, and half marathon, and awards include cash gift cards for overall top finishers plus medals for age group places. All children in the kids run receive a medal at the finish.
Proceeds from the event will support development of the Delhi Community Wellness Trail, a planned short walking trail near the Delhi Community Health Center that may include outdoor fitness equipment, pergolas, and a serenity garden.
