Event Overview
The Fast Rabbits Summer Nights Race Series is a youth-centered event held over three separate dates in June, July, and August. Taking place at Glacier Ridge Metro Park in Lewis Center, Ohio, the series is designed to introduces young runners to organized racing and cross country preparation. Participants can choose to register for individual sessions or sign up for the entire three-race series.
The races are conducted on a loop course starting at the dog park area of the venue. To accommodate different ages and experience levels, the event offers several distance options. Parents are permitted to run alongside their registered athlete if needed, with a limit of one parent per participant on the course.
Available Distances
- 1/4-mile: For participants aged 5 and under.
- 1/2-mile: Open registration for youth.
- 1-mile: Organized into heats for grades K-5 and grades 6-12.
- 1-mile All-Comer's: A dedicated heat for adults.
- 2-mile: Organized into heats for grades K-5 and grades 6-12.
Facilities and Support
Partner organizations provide pre-race and post-race snacks and water. Post-race popsicles are available for both athletes and parents. A station for creating cheer signs is located at the packet pick-up area. Packet pick-up is available on race days at the park or during designated times at a local fleet feet store in Lewis Center.
