Fast Pace Race 5K/10K/1 mile
The Fast Pace Race is an annual running event held in Cumming, Georgia. Organized by the Forsyth Area Striders Team in collaboration with the Prostate Condition Education Council, the event serves to promote awareness regarding prostate cancer screening and early detection. The race features three distinct distances to accommodate different participants:
- 10K (6.21 miles)
- 5K (3.11 miles)
- 1 mile
The 5K and 10K courses are chip-timed, point-to-point routes designed with a half-mile downhill start and finish. Both courses feature an overall elevation drop, and the results can be used as qualifying times for the 2027 Peachtree Road Race. These races finish in front of the Cumming Fairgrounds on Castleberry Road. The 1 mile fun run takes place entirely within the fairgrounds.
Participants in the 5K and 10K events are transported from the Cumming Fairgrounds to the starting line via shuttle buses, as the start is located approximately one mile away. Alternatively, runners may walk or run to the start line via sidewalks. A bag check service is available at the start line to transport warm-up clothing back to the finish area.
The event facilities at the Cumming Fairgrounds include parking for approximately 2,000 vehicles at Gate B or Lot 1. The venue provides ample restrooms and a covered arena for post-race activities, including snacks and beverages. All finishers receive a medal, and awards are presented to the top three finishers in overall, masters, and age group categories for the 5K and 10K races.
