Fast & Furriest 5K Benefitting the Green County Humane Society
The Fast & Furriest 5K is a Halloween themed run/walk held on October 10, 2026, on the Sugar River Trail in New Glarus, Wisconsin. The event benefits the Green County Humane Society; proceeds will support food, medical care, and shelter for animals in the organization’s care.
The entry fee for human participants is $35. Registration opens July 13, 2026, and closes October 10, 2026. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by September 25. Dogs may participate for a $10 fee and receive a GCHS bandana; animals that join should be leash trained and comfortable around other animals and people.
On the course and at the event site attendees can expect scenic views along the Sugar River Trail, live music, Halloween decorations and costumes for humans and animals, snacks for people and dogs, and costumed animals from GCHS available for adoption.
