Farmland 5K, 10K, & Kid's Race
The Farmland Run is the Traverse City Track Club’s signature cross country event held on private farmland near Traverse City, Michigan. The course uses a classic European style turf grass layout and includes grass surfaces, wooded dirt trails, and rolling farmland terrain for natural footing and varied terrain.
The 5K is a true cross country format over grass and dirt trails across open farmland. The 10K, new for 2026, expands the route with additional distance and sections of trail not previously used; the 10K runs in the opposite direction from the 5K and offers a different perspective of the same farmland setting.
A 1 mile kids event is part of the day; every child 12 and under receives a small pumpkin after the race to decorate. The event emphasizes the run experience and a post-race atmosphere where many participants finish around the same time, creating an informal fall festival feel with time to relax and gather on the farmland.
Location: 999 Rasho Rd, Traverse City, MI 49696.
